Book Launch for Hague Convention on Choice of Court Agreements
November 24, 2025

The 2005 Hague Convention on Choice of Court Agreements entered into force ten years ago. As regular readers will know, the United States has signed but not (yet) ratified the Convention. Were the United States to do so, it would mark a significant (and positive) change in the U.S. approach to the interpretation and enforcement of choice of court clauses and the enforcement of foreign judgments rendered pursuant to such clauses.
A new book marks the ten-year anniversary of the Convention’s entry into force. The Hague Convention on Choice of Court Agreements: A Commentary, by Gilles Cuniberti, Brooke Marshall, and Louise Ellen Teitz, provides a comprehensive analysis of the Convention.
On December 11, 2025, the Hague Conference is hosting a hybrid book launch. The provisional program is here, and one can register here.
