Melissa Stewart (@StewartMelissa0) is an Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, William S. Richardson School of Law. She has held appointments at the Australian National University College of Law, Georgetown University Law Center, and the Center for Transnational Legal Studies in London. Her research and teaching interests primarily lie in the areas of international law, transnational litigation and arbitration, international environmental law, human rights, and statelessness. Her award-winning scholarship has appeared or is forthcoming in the American Journal of International Law, the Stanford Journal of International Law, the Virginia Journal of International Law, the Journal of International Dispute Settlement, and the Georgetown Immigration Law Journal, among others. She was previously an Associate in the International Litigation and Arbitration Department at Foley Hoag, LLP. She received her LL.M. with distinction and J.D. from Georgetown Law, where she was a Global Law Scholar. She received her Master’s in international economic law, global governance studies, from Sciences Po in Paris.
