Andrew J. Coyner is a law clerk for Judge David Bragdon of the Middle District of North Carolina. Prior to his clerkship, Coyner was an associate at the Atlanta office of Jones Day, working on commercial disputes, consumer disputes, antitrust, consumer class actions, entertainment litigations, international trade, and national security.

Andrew received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University, where he was the Authorities Editor for the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law. Andrew graduated cum laude from Davidson College with a B.A. with honors in Political Science. While there, he wrote an honors thesis on the causes behind the decline in the number of wars of conquest between 1945 and 2020. Prior to law school, he worked for the Institute for the Study of War on their technology team.
