Brian D. Hulse is a partner with the Seattle office of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP. He focuses his practice on real estate finance, construction finance, commercial lending and transactions, loan workouts, and insolvency. He is a co-chair of the State Law Survey Task Force of the American Bar Association’s Commercial Finance Committee, for which he acted as editor, and author of the Washington chapter, of the books Commercial Lending Law: A Jurisdiction-by-Jurisdiction Guide to U.S. and Canadian Law, and The Law of Guaranties: A Jurisdiction-by-Jurisdiction Guide to U.S. and Canadian Law, both published by the ABA. He is also a fellow and former regent of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers, a fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys, and a member of the Legal Opinions Committee of the Washington State Bar Association.  He received his BA from the University of Washington and his JD from the University of California at Berkeley.  He can be reached at brianhulse@dwt.com.
