Meng Yu is an Assistant Professor at the China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) and a practicing lawyer in China. Her teaching and research interests include private international law, cross-border dispute resolution, and international cultural heritage law. Her English-language works appear in journals such as the International Journal of Cultural Policy and the Chinese Journal of Comparative Law. Dr. Yu authored books including “The Battle Over the Lost Cultural Treasures” (2018) and “Cultural Object-Centered Principle: A Perspective from Cross-Border Cultural Property Litigation” (2023). She holds a PhD in Procedure Law from CUPL, where she was a postdoctoral researcher (2018-2020). She was a visiting researcher at the Art-Law Center, University of Geneva (2016-2017) and has served as the Guest Professor at the University of the West Indies at Cave Hill since 2021. She co-founded and contributes to China Justice Observer.
