Kish Parella

Kish Parella is the James P. Morefield Professor of Law at Washington and Lee University School of Law, where she teaches and writes in the areas of international business transactions, corporate governance, and international law. Her research examines how multinational corporations navigate legal and geopolitical risk across borders, with particular attention to corporate governance, global supply chains, business and human rights, and the role of contracts and private ordering in addressing transnational challenges. She is a Research Member of the European Corporate Governance Institute and a member of the Executive Council of the American Society of International Law. Parella is also co-founder of Gray Dawn Breaking, a research advisory firm that translates academic research into practical insights for organizations confronting cross-border business, governance, supply-chain, and regulatory challenges. Her current book project, International Law in the Boardroom, examines how international law increasingly shapes corporate decision-making and governance inside multinational firms.
